Wyrm is Old English for serpent or dragon, and this skeletal design invokes the power of this mythological creature. The serpent resides in the lower realm of the world tree, Yggdrasil, amongst the roots, where it represents the forces of material life, through reproduction and genetics. This is also where the mycelium network exists, linking great trees to one another, sharing information and nutrition.

The lino print design follows the anatomical illustrative aesthetic to create a contemporary symbol that evokes the essence of the Wyrm. Kundalini yoga practice involves raises and working with the serpent power of the lower chakras, helping to integrate the material plane. In alchemy this is the black soil that whose fertility allows the development of higher consciousness.
